Oct 3, 5:00 AM Suspended Rail closure - Full Gawler rail line closure - October long weekend 2026 — From first service Saturday, 3 October to last service Monday, 5 October 2026, the full Gawler rail line will be closed between Adelaide Railway Station to Gawler Central Railway Station to allow annual renewal and maintenance works to be undertaken, that cannot be safely undertaken while trains are operating. During this time, substitute buses will replace train services between Adelaide Railway Station and Gawler Central Railway Station. Substitute buses will operate at the same frequency as the train timetable, but we encourage passengers to plan ahead as travel times on substitute buses are longer, as they do not operate on a dedicated corridor and are affected by traffic conditions. The following substitute bus routes will operate: GA1 - all stopping service between Adelaide Railway Station and Gawler Central Railway Station. GA2 - limited stopping service between Adelaide Railway Station and Gawler Railway Station. Sep 10, 12:15 PM Minor Delays Rail Station closure - Gawler Oval and Gawler Central - Thursday 10 September 2026 — Gawler Central trains are currently not servicing Gawler Oval Station and Gawler Central Station due to a mechanical issue. All trains are starting and terminating at Gawler Station until further notice. The Gawler train departing Gawler Station at 1136 has been cancelled. Substitute bus services are currently not available. Passengers are advised to catch bus Route 491 at stop 102 Murray St, east side and alight at Gawler Station to connect with trains. Further information will be provided, please check the website and allow for additional travel time.
